Prugs I'm just a few listens away from being able to say this is my all-time favourite Dutch album. Heck, it actually is. More people should know this masterpiece. BTW, I'd kill for a vinyl copy of this. Favorite track: Ita Peccatum.

Personal troubles, distant travels, overseas love adventures and the economic crisis caused a four-year-long wait until a new album was produced. While exploring different musical directions, the original ska and punk roots were partially abandoned. Instead, the sound became more rock-oriented and a synthesizer was added as an extra flavor. Despite these changes, the energy and enthusiasm in the music remained, resulting in Moenia Equus. It is an album about naughty deeds, temptations, wrath, egoism and general misbehavior. But fear not. The heaviness of the topics does not prevent Frans Huxie from doing what they do best: conveying a message with the right amount humor. Brought in a mix of electronic weirdness, dirty saxophone tunes, heavy guitar sounds and uplifting melodies.
